No Man’s Sky update 5.5, titled “Worlds Part II,” has been released by Hello Games. This update adds a range of water planet updates and other content, all for free.
The new update includes new landscapes, gas giants, and water worlds, each with unique environments, creatures, and terrain. It also introduces new gameplay, improved lighting and water rendering, and much more.
One of the major additions is the new class of star, the “purple-class,” which features countless new worlds waiting to be discovered. Players can also embark on a new narrative-driven mission to uncover the secrets of these mysterious star systems.
The update also includes deep oceans, local hazards, and abandoned mode, which removes all alien lifeforms from the game for a more challenging experience. Other features include inventory sorting, gas giants, dense jungles, and enhanced water effects.
Players can also expect new creatures such as giant squids, seahorses, and hermit crabs, as well as floating islands, bioluminescent striders, and mutated biomes. The update also includes quality of life improvements, faster loading times, and Twitch Drops for rewards.
A gameplay deep dive with game director Sean Murray and a new trailer have also been released to showcase all the new features in action. No Man’s Sky is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
